Amniotes

by Lyman P.

My node was a permanent way to have land animals because amniotes evolved the trait in where an animal doesn’t need to go back to the water to lay their eggs. These eggs are watertight, which means that the egg carries an amnion, which allows it to carry fluid to keep the embryo from drying out. They can lay their eggs on land. The amniotes include all of the land animals, including the turtle, dimetrodon, and the cryptocleidus.
