Mammals

by Dillon R.

Mammals evolved the three ear bones, and unlike all the dinosaurs, whose ears had only one bone, the mammals have those other two bones which came from their jaws.  By evolving this trait the mammals were able to transmit sound vibrations, which in return advanced their hearing.  Three animals that have evolved this trait are the Thylacosmilus, the Anteater, and the Rabbit.  All three of those animals have much better hearing than all birds, dinosaurs, all fish, and every reptile on our cladogram.
